Disappointing shopping trip

Twin and I made a trip to Home Goods Saturday. The closest one to us is over an hour away. We hadn't been for a while and thought we'd find a lot. That didn't happen.

I only found a few things. I was looking for plates to finish out the wall in the dining room. I did find some apples, a couple platters and these sweet bird bottles.

Don't know where I'll put them yet but I'm sure I'll figure out something. Twin who usually is quite the shopper spent $3.00 all day. She's been a little under the weather :o)

I have two of these shelves in the dining room. One on each side of the french doors. I can't wait until I can find what I'm looking for so I can have at least one room complete~it's lookin' kind of pitiful.

Don't be dismayed....the right things will pop into your cart before you know it. Hope the Twin gets out from under the weather..

Don't you hate it when you can't find anything... I do.

My sister does not have a cricket. Not sure what she has.

The bottles are adorable. I wish we HAD a Home Goods.

Aww, I'm sorry Twin is under the weather, I hope she is well soon.

As great of a decorator as you are, you will soon complete the shelves!!!

I've never been to Home Goods, we don't have one.

Thanks for sharing the pictures of the few awesome purchases you did make! =)

Have a fabulous week!

Oh, darlin' girl, don't get discouraged...really really great rooms take years to look that way. Don't just fill up spaces to be filling up spaces...wait until you really fall in love with an item and then you'll love it always.

Yep, the $41.00 dollars for the desk and chair included that thick big piece of glass...tax and all.
I told the friend with me that I thought just the glass alone would be more than 41.00...I was so dancin' a jig!!

Oh sorry to hear your day did not go as planned. But what you did get is so cute. I LOVE the little bottles with the bird stoppers. Can't wait to see what you will do with them.
