We're leaving on a jet plane

We're hoping Cher doesn't cancel again. If so, the screams you may hear on Saturday night will be ours, all the way from Vegas. There may be a few tears too.

We'll leave at 5:00 am Thursday morning, our flight leaves around 9:00 and should get to Vegas at around 11:00. We have appointments for highlights in the afternoon.

Friday continues our spa day. We're getting our make up professionally done...I wonder if they have spackle~Ha.

We'll get our nails done.

And our toes. We got our first ever pedicures in Vegas last year when we went. I didn't think I would like it much but boy was I wrong. Out of everything it was my favorite. My feet looked 10 years younger when she was finished!

I found out they do a mock The Price is Right. They give out prizes too. So far they say they are sold out for Sunday and Monday and those days would be my first pick. Otherwise maybe Saturday before Cher. I think it sounds like fun.

Yes, we're seeing Donny and Marie again. They put on such a fabulous show. Twin's boss gets us front row seats. You can't help but feel like a celebrity.
So we'll be gone until next Tuesday. Then we have to buckle down and get our Etsy set up. We've been doing a lot of planning and we will have A TON of new things.
Have a great week and weekend, we'll take pics and post next week.

Jury Duty

Have you ever served on a jury? I had to go for jury duty yesterday. While I've gone a few times, I've never had to be a juror. Usually the case gets settled out of court and we are sent home. This time it was a malpractice case and was expected to last 4 to 5 weeks. I would find it so interesting to be part of a jury but I'm leaving for Vegas next week and would be very upset if I couldn't go. Because it was to be a lengthy trial the judge asked if we had any vacations planned or if it would be a hardship to serve. I told about my vacation plans and was relieved when I was dismissed! I am a little disappointed that I couldn't be a juror because it would be fasinating yet a huge responsibility, especially in this case where it involves multiple doctors and malpractice.

Have you ever served on a jury? Did you like it? Was it anything serious or life changing?

P.S. The only person in my family to serve as a juror was my daughter, three years ago. That's is where she met her husband! It was one of those things where they noticed each other across the room, went on to be selected as part of the jury, and have been together ever since. Just goes to show you never know where you'll meet "the one."
