This picture is from the hallway looking into the foyer. Sorry, didn't realize my lens was SO DIRTY! We took down all interior walls to make it one big (well it's not real big :o) room. We also took down the ceilings. Pretty much gutted the whole place and started over. We thought we would like the open space better.
This is a picture of the new kitchen. I just love my new window. It's really big and we pushed it back to make a ledge, almost like a garden window. This picture shows you part of the new ceiling. The over hang with the four hanging lights is where the island will be.
This is the old dining room.
A look at the new dining room. The bottom will have wainscotting!
New Living room
New kitchen. I got pealized cabinets with a brown glaze. The island will be cherry. Hubby is making our island. There will be a pot filler above the stove.
New living room. The living room and dining room will be wood floors and the foyer and kitchen will be tile.
Part of old living room. These double french doors were only 2 years old when we started the remodel. We had to get rid of them and put in a single french door because we needed the room for the fridge.
The ceilings are very different and Twin will be helping me do a painting technique on them. We will blog and show the "how to". Hubby will be starting the mudding and taping this week. We should be painting in about 2 weeks. Then we will be putting down the floors and the in floor heating system. No more cold feet!
