HELP ME!!! PLEASE :o)

Fran got this material from Hobby Lobby on clearance and I just LOVE it. I want it too :o( There is not enough left at our Hobby Lobby and I have called all of them in my area. It looks like it is stripped but it is plaid. It's silk. Fran said she would like some for her kitchen now too. I am afraid we are too late. Is there anyone out there that can help me? Please, email me if you find some. twin6045@yahoo.com THANK YOU!

HELP What color should I paint my dining room?

I bought this fabric at Hobby Lobby last weekend. (Thanks Shannon). I've wanted it for awhile now and had admired it on a few blogs. I had seen it at Hobby Lobby a few weeks ago but wasn't sure it was the right one. I asked Shannon from Bless Our Nest where she got hers and she said Hobby Lobby so then I knew it was "the one"! I'm glad I waited. It went from $24.99 a yard to being on clearance for $13.00 a yard!

My problem now is what color do I paint the walls? I had brick red curtains before and the golden yellow seemed o.k. with that but now it all blends together with my light colored furniture. I would love to paint the dining room set black but we spent a small fortune on it and I don't think Hubby would want me to. So I will leave it the way it is and eventually change the fabric on the seats.

Should I go with something in the brown family or with that new blue everyone seems to love? I've never considered myself a blue kind of gal but maybe it is the new thing?

Lastly, Carrie from Buzzings of a Queen Bee is looking for this fabric also. Her local Hobby Lobby is out. So if anyone can help her I'm sure she would appreciate it. If you have never been to her blog go over and say Hi. She is such a sweetie and she has two darling little ones. Oh, and she has great decorating ideas too.

What a great way to end the work week :o)

Wednesday was a Vera Wang purse and wallet. Love it. It has magnetic closures.

I also got a really nice jacket and capris. This will be great for when I go to Logan's games. It's seems like it is warm the first half of the game and then the sun goes down and it is FREEZING!!

I also got this little "spa" for my nails. This will be great. I have long nails and have to cut them about every 2-3 weeks. If they get too long it drives me nuts with all the typing I do at work.

This was yesterdays gift. This is another great jacket. It has a cute hood too.

This is a darling jacket that is a little longer. She got me leggings to go under. I've never worn them so we will see...It has been a very fun week for me. Last year every day had a theme. Like one was relax day and I got lotions, and bath beads, candles and books. One was fashion and I got all kinds of clothes. It was a lot of fun.

Sorry the pictures are not that great. I took them all at work and I didn't have any hangers.
Have a great weekend everyone!

My favorite "WEEK" of the year!

This is my office. I am the Office Manager. We have two offices. One in the town I live in and another one about 15 miles away. I do all the office work for both places.

We are an alcohol and drug abuse facility. I always tell people you don't want to come see me at work unless it's to bring me lunch! HA! There's a picture of the "other guy" in my life other then my hubby!

It is Administrative Professional day tomorrow but I get to celebrate it every day I work this week (which is Mon-Thurs) I get surprises every day. This is what I got yesterday. All my favorites. I love cold coffee, propel water, heath bars and york patties. In the box is a gift certificate to a spa! Should of been a certificate to a gym....I'll need it after all those candy bars ;o)

Today I got 2 white blouses and a sweater. I just LOVE white blouses. I think if you put on a clean crisp white blouse you look dressed up or pulled together. Add a little sweater or a piece of chunky jewelry. Great with jeans or dress pants.
My bosses are the best. They SPOIL me rotten. Now Fran usually gets just about everything I get except this week......it's all about me. Other wise when it is Christmas or my (our) birthday they always spoil Fran too. And of course we BOTH get to go to VEGAS!

We LOVE Fridays :o)

Fran and I usually always spend Fridays together. I work Mon-Thurs. so Fridays have become "OUR" day. We LOVE to shop and that is mostly what we do but we also get together on those days to do our business. This past Friday we went to get our hair cut and highlighted. Here is a before picture of me.

Here's an after. We both were in dire need of a cut and some blonde highlights. We also always get our hair thinned out. We have very thick hair.

Here's Fran's before. What a Hot Momma lol

Here's the after. I guess she worked up a thirst! HA!

We both got these purses for the summer. I figured it would be great for Logan's ballgames to put the camera in. It is open at the top so I don't have to keep zipping and unzipping every time I need the camera or anything else.
We look forward to our Fridays together. When we were younger and were going to go somewhere we always asked someone else to go with us. If someone couldn't then we just did not go, because we felt like we were going alone. We no longer feel that way. We feel like we are going with our BESTFRIEND.

What we have been up to.....

We had someone with a home based business ask us if we would do a sign for her car and for the other girls in the group. This is a popular home based business so we are really EXCITED! Who knows where this could lead us. When we first got into the business we were asked if we would be doing windows, business and other signs and we did not think we would be going in that direction. Our thoughts were more crafty. We LOVE wall words and that is why we decided to get into the biz.
As we were putting this on my car a guy that works for the city pulled up and asked if we would be interested in doing some for their trucks!!

We are offering this for anyone who has a home based business or an etsy shop. A lot of people we have talked to have NO IDEA what etsy is. This is a great way to advertise your business. I'll bet 95% of the people in your own town don't know that you have a special talent or craft they might be interested in.

We will be charging $25.00 and $5.00 for shipping. If you are interested please email us at
twin6045@yahoo.com. Let us know what you would like. What an inexpensive way to advertise. Cheaper then an ad in the paper and you advertise every time you drive.

Remodel Coming Along

This picture is from the hallway looking into the foyer. Sorry, didn't realize my lens was SO DIRTY! We took down all interior walls to make it one big (well it's not real big :o) room. We also took down the ceilings. Pretty much gutted the whole place and started over. We thought we would like the open space better.

This is a picture of the new kitchen. I just love my new window. It's really big and we pushed it back to make a ledge, almost like a garden window. This picture shows you part of the new ceiling. The over hang with the four hanging lights is where the island will be.

This is the old dining room.

A look at the new dining room. The bottom will have wainscotting!

New Living room

Old kitchen.
New kitchen. I got pealized cabinets with a brown glaze. The island will be cherry. Hubby is making our island. There will be a pot filler above the stove.

New living room. The living room and dining room will be wood floors and the foyer and kitchen will be tile.

Part of old living room. These double french doors were only 2 years old when we started the remodel. We had to get rid of them and put in a single french door because we needed the room for the fridge.

Will be new Butler's Pantry.
The ceilings are very different and Twin will be helping me do a painting technique on them. We will blog and show the "how to". Hubby will be starting the mudding and taping this week. We should be painting in about 2 weeks. Then we will be putting down the floors and the in floor heating system. No more cold feet!

!@#$%

What is up with bad language on t.v.? I've heard the oldest three children say p*ssed on this show and it wasn't bleeped out. I'm sorry but I would never allow my teenagers to use that word. They say it like it's no big deal but to me it's a cuss word and I've never heard a cuss word I found cute coming out of any child's mouth. Say what you want when you're an adult, it doesn't bother me but not from a kid and not on t.v.
Another thing, what's up with their messy house? They remodeled the kitchen and family room and then trashed them. Since when is the stairs and the floor a hamper? I wonder how long it will be now that they have added on to junk that space up too. My house isn't perfect either but I don't have a film crew in it. If you don't care to clean it's o.k. but you have a weekly t.v. show...get a housekeeper! You can afford one now.
About a week ago I watched Saving Grace for the first time and I am so thankful I wasn't watching it with my kids. Grace (I think that is her name since it's in the title) went to the bar parking lot and saw her guy friend slumped in the seat of his truck. She went over to see what was wrong with him and a woman's head popped up. Then they used the word bl*w j*b. I was shocked. She also said the word sh*t twice. We're not talking HBO or Showtime here people, it was TNT.
Tuesday they showed some of this show, The Real Housewives Of New Jersey. I watch all of the other Housewives and thought it was nice to get a sneak peek at this one. I was watching with my teen aged daughter and they showed a guy going into a house and one of the other Housewives said he was getting his daily bl*w j*b.!! I guess anything goes now. I'm not a prude but I think it's hard to watch any t.v. with your family now a days. Even young children may not pay attention to what's on but they can certainly pick up the bad language by listening. And do you know of any parent that would like to explain what a bl*w j*b is to an 8 year old? What happened to morals and values? I think there is a time and place for everything and our kids grow up way to fast as it is. What's next, porn on daytime t.v.? And don't even get me started on commercials... !@#$%

Welcome

We're joining in on Doors to Adore. Just click on the picture to join in on the fun.

It's still chilly here. Infact we got Spring snow Sunday night. I haven't done a thing outside. We don't have any flowers blooming yet. Hopefully soon.

If anyone would be interested in purchasing a Welcome for their front door you can go to our Etsy Shop. They are $8.00 and that includes shipping. The colors are black, white, light tan, and brown. I get alot of compliments on mine and I'm considering replacing the black with a white for summer. What do you think?
