Rhoda from Southern Hospitality is having a Thrifting party where you post something you got at a yard sale. I DON'T have any before pictures of this. It's a small bench or footstool. I've seen a few at other blogs. Does anyone know what they are? The seat lifts up. I wonder if it was to a vanity or something?
I passed this up about 3 times before I bought it. The legs were brown and the seat was just plain nasty. But it was just $1.00 so I took it home. I painted it black and covered it with checked fly material.
Like I said before, I'm always changing things. I found this material and I like it too. This is just laying on top. I'm not sure if I'm going to put it on permanently or not. It's gold diamond pattern with small black diamonds.
Go on over to Rhoda's and see all the other great thrifting finds!

Oh, I love that little stool. I bet it was from a vanity & just for the record, that first fabric is gorgeous, I'd keep that one on there. Thanks for playing this week!
What a bargain for only $1. I love it. Either material looks great, but I like the first one best. ♥
THat was a bargain for 1$, you could always resell it..Love the first fabric too!
Your little stool is a real find. I think it might be a sewing bench that you use at a sewing machine. My aunt had one that looked like that. Anyway, no matter what, it is a real treat. Thanks for sharing.
Just $1. That is so cool : ). I am glad you got it! I love fun and creative fixes! Super cool!
I know alot of piano benches used to raise up. That is where they stored their sheet music.Or song books. What a steal for $1.00 !!
That little stool is adorable! And at $1...you scored big time!

This little stool is so neat. I love to change out the fabric on pieces like this. A remnant can change the whole look, for a little bit of money.
I love the stool, could be used in many ways. I love the black fabric too. Great. Debbie
I just found your blog (thanks to Rhoda!!). Love the stool. What a bargain for only a $1.00.
