A beautiful table for just $8.00 and a can of paint!

I bought this little "gem" at a yard sale this summer. It was $8.00. It was nice a sturdy with some minor scratches. I have a big flat screen tv hanging in my bedroom and wanted a slim line table to go under it.
Time to roll up my sleeves and get to work.
The top of the table had some scratches so hubby thought I should use this fine piece of machinery. I must admit it saved a lot of time and energy.
Isn't "she sweet" looking :o)
All the scratches are gone and she is just glowing.
I just LOVE the finish product! My twin and I are blogging together so I am sure it gets confusing. I am going to call myself Twin One since I am the older one (five minutes) My whole house is under construction right now so most of the things you see will be from Twin Two. I have been pretty much living in the garage. We have our fridge, dining room set and couch in there. Have been cooking in a electric skillet and using a hot plate. We took down all the walls to open up the kitchen, living room and dining room. We are about half way done and I can not wait to be able to show all of you the results of all our hard work (or should I say hubby's hard work) Can't wait to see what this table looks like in our new bedroom. We are putting in all new floors and all new trim (going with white). Every room is getting a face lift and believe me when we are done I could of had a 10 face lifts myself and still had some $$ left over!!

Love the table and the transformation. I saw a similar one at a flea market this weekend and the guy wanted $80. I sadly walked away from it.

She is sweet looking all dressed in her little black outfit! She'll put that tv to shame because she'll command all of the attention.
I'm looking forward to seeing her in her new home.

Are ya'll really twins?? I saw on your profile that you are best friends, so thought that was the reference to twins. Now I need to know!

Love your table! Reminds me of one I got from my grandma that's in my LR, but I won't paint it. That turned out great.

What an adorable, little table and it looks mighty fine, dressed in black! You did a great job...

Oh, I do know about all the mess, tears, smiles, MONEY, tears again, when remodeling. Hubby and I doubled the size of our living room a couple of yrs ago and, boy, it was a LOT of blood, sweat and tears but oh, so worth it. Good, good luck to you!

Yes, I did add the red to my hutch back in the RMS days...I had forgotten that.

love, bj

Hi ladies, so nice of you to stop by and take the time to say hello.
Looks like you enjoy repurposing things as much as I do.
I will remember your sons friend and his family in my prayers. It is such a sad and tragic story. I hope friends such as your son will continue to stick by his side and walk down this long road with him.
It hard to understand when such a horriable ordeal like this happens. On my blog is a poem called "My Mission Of Serving" by Henry somebody, I can't remember at the moment.. It always helps me to read these words in times such as this.
May God Bless,
Shanda
