One bathroom reveal

It's hard to get the wall color in the pictures but it is Pale Honey by Behr. It's the new kind with the primer already in it. I LOVE IT! It is my new favorite paint. This is my main floor bathroom but I actually painted the kids bathroom this color first. I loved it so much I decided to use it here. Even though the walls are the same paint color the bathrooms look nothing alike.
I wish the color would show better because it is a soft, muted, soothing yellow. This is the wall to the left as you walk into the bathroom. It's behind the door so it's the perfect place for vinyl wall art. It says-Every day may not be good, but there is something good in every day.
It's so hard to get good pictures in a small space! This is a DIY of something I already had. Twin brought this back from Dollywood a few years ago. You might be able to see it better if you click on it but it's a got our names on it as an owl family and the cat we use to have. I used 3 mats here and it looks like blue and chocolate brown but it's more greenish blue and black. Just changing the frame and adding different mats gave it a whole new look. (Memo to self-either get a better camera or a bigger bathroom!)

Twin may have over done it when she posted these pictures for me. There's a lot! This is to the right of the door. While I painted the kids vanity black, I kept the natural hickory in this bathroom as it was.
This room was a dark sage green. I took before pictures but couldn't find them. I think they're on the other memory card, sorry.
This brings us to the end of our small bathroom tour! I used things from around the house to decorate. The shutter mirror I purchased from Home Interiors a few years ago, the small plates are from Marshalls as is the plate stand.

I had a secret

Have you ever had a secret that you told no one? I had a secret. For about a week. I told no one. Not my husband, my twin, my best friend, no one. Of course God knew, cause he knows everything but I told no one else.

I felt something on my back. About 5 inches below my neck and in between my shoulder blades. I don't know what made me touch or find it but I did. Eventually I decided to look at it. I couldn't see it very well even when I used two mirrors. You know how we girls do it when we're trying to see the back of our hair. I twisted and turned, I sat on the vanity, I put on my glasses but I still didn't know for sure what this oval flesh colored thing was. Then I googled and I googled. Still no answers. I took my daughter to the doctor for a tennis physical. Do I tell him my secret? No, 'cause if it isn't good then my little worry wart will know the secret and I can't upset her so I don't say anything.

Days go by and I know I have to call and tell the doctor my secret. I make the appointment for today because I know my husband will be golfing in the morning. That will be good, I won't have to tell. I go, I tell my secret to the doctor. He looks, he says it is a new mole-I say "I love you." Honestly I did, 'cause in that moment I truly loved him. And for a moment I also loved that mole. Now, not so much. It's just one more I have to go along with the 199 I already have. But it's a whole lot better than any thing I googled.....The End

Hobby Lobby Sales

Went to Hobby Lobby last weekend and they have some furniture on clearance. I found some in two different places. This table was by the the fake greenery. This table was regular $99.99 on sale for $19.00. Not worth $99.99 but $19.99 is a good price. I just put a lamp and a few things on it for now so you could see the size of it. It has some stain missing on the drawer I will fix.
This corner stand was regular $149.00 on sale for $29.00. Again not worth the regular price but the sale price was good. I'm going to stain it a little darker.
I just painted my main floor bathroom a soft yellow and I will put this in there. See how the top drawer opens? I wish there was a shelf at the bottom. I really don't know what to put in that space. I thought about hand towels but other than that I have no other ideas. Any suggestions?
More on this bathroom to come. Have a wonderful weekend.

Glass and Mirrors

I have a love-hate relationship with glass and mirrors. No matter how much I try with window cleaner and micro-fiber cloths, once the sun shines in they look awful! I did get around to rearranging my china hutch. It was very formal before with glass and china only. I decided to go less formal and I really like it now. I just wish I could quit opening it up and going over the glass and mirror a trillion times!
I added some fake fruit and wrought iron to soften the look. I have the rest of the china stored in the bottom of the hutch.
I also have a love-hate relationship with this curio cabinet. It came free with the purchase of the dining room set and it's nothing I would purchase. I like it so much better since I painted it a brick red. I've never had it in the dining room before but I think I like it there. See those figurines? The one on the right is a little girl holding twins. I bought one for twin years ago and then my son accidentally broke it. They are limited additions and we were so glad we found another on Ebay. Eventually I got one too and we purchased one for our older sister and our two friends who have twins. Our average winning bid was about $50.00 for each. The bottom says, Who ever told mother to order twins? The other Memories of Yesterday is a little girl holding a baby and it says Can I keep her? It's my oldest daughters.(I'm sure there have been days when it could have read-Can we give her back? LOL I love the vintage look of them.

I know we have been "LAZY" bloggers but we have been VERY busy. Just thought we would tease you with a couple of our new creations. Not sure which one we love better.

I am FINALLY learning how to put our creations on to pictures. We have a lot to show you and hope to have our Etsy Shop up and running soon.

P.S. We have been a little "Behind" visiting "Our Neighbors" but just haven't had time to leave too many messages. Hugs~
