We HEART T-pins

We love these as much as our glue gun or our black spray paint. You can find them at WalMart by the material.

Have you heard of T-pins? That's what we call them anyway. They are the best for hanging anything on your walls without leaving a big hole like a nail. The wrought iron above has a real plant and dirt in it and is held up with a T-pin.

Same with this picture.

Do you see the T-pin that holds the plate rack up? They come in different sizes. Just use a small one for the lightweight things and larger for heavy items. I learned about these at a Home Interior party and I think the consultant said the biggest one holds something like 15 pounds!

If you make a mistake when hanging something, don't worry they only leave a small pin hole in your walls. They are w-o-n-d-e-r-f-u-l. You too will heart T-pins. P.S. I FORGOT TO TELL YOU I HAVE NEVER PUT A T-PIN IN A STUD. IT MAY BREAK BECAUSE THEY AREN'T AS THICK AS A NAIL. I JUST PUT IT DIRECTLY INTO THE DRYWALL AND THEY WORK FINE.

More HAPPY news :o)

I just wanted to share some more happy news. My sweet Linda came home last night!!!! She looks great. When she was in the hospital her kidney (she only has one) started shutting down and she was having trouble with her liver. You would never know that now. She looks GREAT! She is a little weak and needs to rest. Oh, the power of prayer.

Another HAPPY note! We think we have our rental house SOLD! I am so HAPPY! With the market the way it is and we didn't have it for sale that long...PRAISE GOD! I really thought it would be awhile. God has been working over time for me :o)

Have a great day everyone and the remodel is coming along. I will post some pictures next week. I have some walls and part of the ceiling. Now so that is exciting.

Good News!!

They took Linda yesterday to another hospital and put her in ICU. Well, they took her out of ICU this morning and put her in her own room. The nurse said she has improved and no longer needed to be in ICU!!! Praise God. Now we still need all of your prayers. Lupus is awful and she isn't out of the woods just yet. God is GOOD!!

I want to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart. I had someone say we (twin and I) have been through a lot of heartache in our lives and yes, we have. But, look at all the blessings. All you have to do is press a few keys on the keyboard and ask your friends to pray and right away you feel that heavy burden lifting. My blogging friends are the BEST!! We love each and everyone of you.

Have a great weekend and we will keep you posted :o) God Bless all of you.

An Update on my Sweet Friend LINDA

First of all I would like to THANK all of you from the bottom of my heart for your prayers. A special THANK YOU to bj at sweetnothings for starting a button for me. I appreciate all of you that have taken the button to your blog. Fran had suggested the other day that I email Kelly's dad Steve . He is a Pastor. He emailed me back to let me know his WHOLE church was getting ready to pray for Linda. Oh, you have NO idea what that meant to me.

She is now being taken to another hospital. The pneumonia is getting a little better but they need help with the lupus and of course her heart. I don't know a lot about lupus but I know it has no remorse. It attacks anything in its way.

I saw her last night and she was in very good spirits. She is a very strong woman. Always thinking about others. I told her I had all of my blog neighbors praying for her and spreading the word.

Now I need my neighbors more than ever. SHOUT out her name for all to hear. Please, tell everyone to pray for my sweet friend.

And again THANK YOU!

I need you to pray for LINDA

I know I have asked for a lot of prayer this week, but I need some more! My boss who is just a WONDERFUL person isn't doing very well. She has lupus. She is in the hospital with pneumonia and congestive heart failure. This women means the world to me.

My mother passed away 5 years ago from cancer. Fran and I took care of her. It broke our hearts. Instead of taking care of her to get her well we were preparing her for heaven. We took care of her in my home. I was with her when she took her last breath. If you would have asked me 6 months before that if I could step in and do that I would of told you NO! I have learned from all of the losses we have had to endure (my dad, brother, nephew, best friend and others) that there is an inner strength in all of us. I believe it is God holding our hands and perhaps even carrying us in our time of need. Anyway, after my mom died I just wanted to crawl in bed and shut out the world. The only reason I did get out of bed was for my son for he was only 8 at the time. My whole life had changed. Life would never be the same. Then about a year later I got this job. My boss Linda is my kindered spirit. I have told her many times that I think God brought us together. I was in a deep black hole and this women brought me out of it. It was like I came to life again. She reminds me so much of my mom because she is the kindest, sweetest and most giving person I have ever met.

I beg of you to please, get on your knees and pray for my sweet friend. Please, if you can will you please ask others to pray for her too? Add her to your prayer chain at church, tell your friends, your family or add it to your blog. bj over at sweet nothings has made something for your sidebar if you would like to add it I would really appreciate it. I need THE POWER OF PRAYER. Thanks You SO MUCH!

I need my blogger neighbors for more prayers.

Have you ever stumbled on to someone's blog and you don't even remember how you got there? Some times when I have a few minutes I like to go outside of my neighborhood blogger friends and met some new neighbors or just take a peek into their lives. This past weekend it was FREEZING so I stayed home and started peeking.....then I found this blog. I must tell you I just can't get this family out of my mind.
I know with the way the world can be sometimes we think we have it hard and then you read this story and your realize you don't have it too bad after all. I don't believe you have to KNOW someone for your heart to go out to them. I don't know this family at all but yet my heart aches for her, her daughter and her unborn child. Do I believe she will be alright...yes, I know she will for I believe God will take care of her and her family. I just felt compelled to share this story with my neighborhood blogger friends and ask you to lift her up in prayer tonight along with her sweet daughter Caroline and unborn child. Thank You.

Today's Report on Brayden

Today was a rough day. Brayden's numbers are down and he has a new doctor - they switch every two weeks and our doctor was at the end of her rotation. During the weekends there are also different attendings, and the doctor that is with him right now is the man who started the NICU unit of the Children's Hospital. He has been there for 30 something years and knows a lot about PPHN.

Brayden's jaundice numbers are up to 23 but they say that is the least of their worries, and that it is being caused by all of the medications that he is on. Currently, he is on a sedative, a pain reliever, a paralyzer, a PPHN med, 2 or 3 BP meds and something else....forgive me, I'm super tired and I know I'm missing one med. It is very hard to see all of these things being pumped into him.

I don't have new pictures because he is under two very large jaundice lights and the pictures aren't turning out. His little skin is drying out from the lights and I just want to make it all better and make it all go away but I can't. But God can, and he hears our prayers and I am so thankful for each and every one of you and your prayers on his behalf.

Thank you so much to all of you...those I know, those I have met through Blogland and those who have found our story through all of you who have posted prayer requests on our behalf. We love you and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Remember to be praying for Harper too. She is not out of the woods yet.

Kelly Needs Our Prayers

WE HAVE AN UPDATE FROM KELLY'S BLOG:

11:30 Saturday
Praise Jesus for He is good!!! Scott just called to tell me that he just went to see Harper and the nurse said she is not even on the list for bypass (ECMO) because the doctor thinks she is responding so well to what they are doing she may not even need it. We were told in not so many words yesterday that she may not survive at all and because of so many prayers all over the world - she is improving hour by hour. We have had so much kindness shown to us over the last 24 hours - I can not even begin to tell you. Scott has had several people that we don't know but who read our blog come to see him and even brought him things. He just called me crying because he couldn't believe the kindness we have been shown. It's so overwhelming. Our whole family has cried so much because of the overwhelming kindness of friends and strangers. It certainly has encouraged us to do more for others ourselves.

Praised God for the WONDERFUL news and THANK YOU for all the prayers.
Please, be praying for Kelly she just had a baby girl, Harper and they had to air lift her to a Childrens Hospital. I know a lot of us bloggers have been following the story of Harper. Even though Fran and I don't know Kelly by reading about her life and her pregnancy we almost feel like we do. Her and her husband have prayed and prayed for this little girl. Now we ask everyone from blog land to Please, LIFT Kelly and Harper and their families up in prayer. We need to start a prayer chain.

Opening Our Store SOON :o)

I'm going to try to make some time this weekend to open our Esty store. If anyone has some suggestions that would be great. Is it hard? I would like to be able to put something on our side bar with pictures and a link. I would really appreciate it if someone could email me and let me know how to do that.

I thought I would show you better pictures of what we are selling. I think this is a great present for a baby shower and remember if they live a distance away we can send it right to the person!

All they have to do is add the footprints. You can buy craft paint at Walmart. It's that simple. I think this would look great in the family room with pictures of the family under it.
This sign is 6 inches tall and 26 inches long.

I thought this was a better picture then the last one I put on here. This sign is 9 inches tall and 20 inches long.

We have another idea we are tweaking and it is ADORABLE!! I can't wait to show you!!

Have a great week and try to stay warm. We're suppose to get around six more inches of snow and it is going to be minus on Thurs. with wind chills of -31!!!! I need my LONG JOHNS!

I'm going to let you in on "My Dirty Little Secret"

Well, I did it again!! These pictures should be at the END! I tried to drag but it didn't help. I was thinking...as a blogger you can share a little or a lot of yourself. Well, I thought I would share a little more. We have been working on our kitchen/dining room/living room/foyer for a LONG time. Things have come up to put us more behind plus my hubby is doing ALL of it himself. Except for installing the granite. He's even making our island. Our son was in baseball, then he got picked for All Stars, then football and my hubby won't miss ONE game. He had to stop for a while to work on our rental. We decided to put it up for sale. Fran's daughter got married and we we're all busy with that. It just seemed like we had more and more on our plates. He now has almost all of the electrical done as well as the heat and air conditioning. We will be putting up sheet rock and wainscotting very soon.

What a mess it has been. We put up a door blocking off the rest of the house.

That is our front door. We took down ALL the WALLS and ALL the Ceilings.

There's my boys. Hard at work.

This is what the kitchen use to look like.

View from the dining room. Sorry same picture!!

Now that I have lived without a kitchen for A YEAR my old kitchen doesn't look that bad. Yes, my friends that is my DIRTY LITTLE SECRET.....A YEAR!!

What it looked like from the dining room.

This is the dining room taken from the hallway.

The view from the kitchen. Some of these pictures were taken after I started packing things away. The plastic is still on the chairs cause the dining room set is fairly new and I knew we would be redoing the whole house so I thought I should keep them on until the dust settles.

View looking out to the deck. My living room was VERY LONG and NARROW. 1/4 of it was cut off by doorways so it was very hard to rearrange the furniture.

We will now have an open floor plan. I will have a cherry island and the other cabinets will be pearl with a brown glaze. I will also have a butler's pantry.

I got a new camera and can't download the pictures. When I put in the memory card NOTHING happens. I will try to take some pictures of where we live and cook at now to show you the rest of "My Dirty Secret" so stay tuned.

Getting Organized

Christmas is great but the minute it's over I'm ready to pack it up, clean out drawers, rearrange furniture, buy new sheets, well you get the picture.

I use to keep my jewelry in two plastic containers and one small silver keeper jewelry box. I found myself wearing the same things instead of going through it all to find something different.

Not a good picture but this is a full length mirror. Fern's boss gave me this for Christmas.(I told you she loves me too). She has one, and gave one to Fern awhile ago. My daughter gave this to two friends and received one herself this Christmas. We all LOVE it. 'Cause when you open it up you get....

A jewelry armoire!! It holds a ton of jewelry.

Everything is organized and so easy to see.

There's room for so much more! Plus it's a silver keeper which means your silver jewelry should stay tarnish free for 25 years! It is sold on QVC. It's any girls dream come true. Love it. Now if I could just get the kitchen cabinets and drawers this organized...

Just a SNEAK peek!

Just thought we'd show you all a little of what has kept us busy.

No, it's not painted but vinyl lettering. We can make anything a person would want from wallwords to something on wood, glass, plastic, ...any smooth surface. The possibilities are ENDLESS!
This one has a routered edge. I hope that's how you spell it. My hubby is doing all the wood for us so that helps a lot. Fran and I get to keep our fingers HA!

We were thinking about taking some like the ones above and putting last names in them. What do you think? If you last name is more than 6 letters you would get 4.

These are just a few examples.

We're hoping to open shop soon. Everything we've shown we have done on wood. We had a lot of special orders that kept us so busy before Christmas. We have a few more for the Etsy store and will be showing those in a few days. Please, be HONEST and let us know the good, bad and the ugly!!

This one has a routered edge.

We're still here

Sorry it has been so long. Fran and I are BUSY getting ready to open our own Etsy Store!! We will be posting pictures this week. We are taking the business in so many different directions with so many great ideas. We can't wait to share some of them with you. One of the things I hope to do this year is A LOT more blogging. I know, I know we haven't been very good. I am going to teach Fran tomorrow how to get the pictures to load them so she can put some stuff on and not have to wait for me. I got a new camera and for some reason my computer won't let me download my pictures. I have no idea what I am going to do. Now, I can go to Fran's and they download just fine!

I will be blogging on my kitchen/living room/dining room remodel. Hubby is fine tuning the electrical and heating right now. I think we will be seeing some progress in the next few weeks. Oh, how I dream of having a dishwasher!! At this point just a sink would be HEAVEN!

May God bless each and everyone of you this 2009 and we just want to THANK all of you for being such good neighbors :o)
