My Baby is a TEENAGER!!

A while back my son asked me " Mom when you were growing up what did you want to be?" I told him a mom. He said" No I mean what did you want to BE?" I told him for as long as I could remember I wanted to be a mother. When my husband and I got married we wanted to start a family right away. What we thought would take us 9 months took us 8 1/2 years! There were many tears and infertility treatments. We also had a miscarriage and FINALLY.....
Our Little Miracle.
December 4, 1995

When this picture was taken it seemed like a life time before our baby would be shaving! At thirteen he is an early bloomer like his daddy. He will soon be shaving.

This was his Halloween costume when he was almost 2.

He had the lead in his school play and had to wear a tux. He played Abe Lincoln. He was in 4th grade.

Logan has brought such happiness to our lives. Just when we think we have our whole life planned we are reminded that God has better plans for us. Even though we wanted 3 children but only had one, the joy we have been given is priceless.

This past summer Logan came in 2nd place at the Home Run Derby.

His baseball team placed 1st this year. This is his team congratulating him on one of his out of the park homeruns. He's the one with the RED shoes!

Happy 13th Birthday Logan!!
You're a gift to us everyday.
Love,
Mom and Dad

Happy Birthday, Logan!

I know where you are coming from. I always wanted to be a mom. I really never wanted a career out of the house. I did want a 2nd child. But, I doctored for years with endometrosis. I am happy you were able to concieve.

I feel so grateful to have one child. I am sure you do too!!
Hugs, Terrie

I've never really wanted to be more than a mom myself either. It's the best job in the world.

I know the growing up part is hard. Just wait. They soon turn from 13 to 18!! Then you can really cry.

Happy Birthday Logan! I just always wanted to be a Mom, too. Your story sounds like mine. I wanted children right away. 8+ years of fertility treatment later I finally had my boy. Would you believe that my doctor not once ordered an ultrasound throughout my pregnancy even though I repeatedly asked for one. I proceeded to have him 5 1/2 weeks early. Thank goodness he was healthy. I always wanted more children, but I guess it wasn't in the cards for me either. ~ Robyn
