How's your WEATHER?

They are saying we are in for an ice storm starting around 3:00 p.m. today and ending tomorrow about noon!! I asked my boss if I could get off at noon to be able to go to the store to prepare!! I'm just praying we don't loose our electricty.
It's really cold here too. This morning -6. I'm just hoping winter doesn't feel as long as it did last year. It seemed to go on and on and on.

Well, the good news is maybe I will have more time to get stuff done! Stay warm :o)

We just love The Biggest Loser and this year they had some not so nice people. Michelle was a sweetheart and wasn't slamming all the others. You could tell she had a great heart. She did the work and didn't back stab and she WON!! Now for all of you that don't watch it you really should. I have seen al the seasons. The next one starts Jan. 6th so be sure to check it out.

Going to go see "Our Girl"

UPDATE: THE WEATHER HERE IS REALLY BAD. WE DID NOT GET TO GO SEE "OUR GIRL". THEY SAID ON THE RADIO IT WAS TAKING 3 1/2 TO 4 HOURS TO GET TO CHICAGO AND OUR HOME STATION SAID IF YOU DON'T NEED TO GO OUT THEN DON'T.

Hopefully we will get another chance. :o)

We're going to go see "Our Girl" tonight. We just LOVE Celine Dion. The weather is REALLY UGLY so we are hoping to still be able to go. We were suppose to go Nov. 4th but that got canceled.

Fran and I went to Vegas a couple to years ago and we got to see her for the first time. It was WONDERFUL!! She is SO beautiful.

Our weather is calling for 2-5 inches and we will have to travel at least 1 1/2 hours to get there. Oh, how I long for SPRING :o)

What a FUN day :o)

Well, I loaded the pictures wrong so the bottom picture was suppose to start this off. I walked into my office Monday morning and found Bergner boxes EVERYWHERE! At first I was confused and then I remembered it was my 4th Anniversary at my job.
My bosses are the best. I get presents all the time. My boss Linda will say "I was walking around the store and I heard it calling your name so I had to get it." I have one of those jewelery boxes from QVC that is a full length mirror filled with things that were "calling my name". I love surprises and I've never had so many in my life.
This platter is a creamy yellow.

Can't wait until the kitchen is done so I can start baking again! Just love this baking dish.
A close up picture of the bowls. What great detail.

This is a three tier wrought iron stand with rectangular plates. It is just adorable.

Isn't this Chip 'n Dip bowl set COOL!! I just LOVE it. I love the wrought iron stand too.

This will be great for casseroles. It's been so long since I've had a kitchen but even if the meal doesn't turn out it will look pretty on the table! HA!

Another casserole dish in that buttery yellow.

A nice big serving bowl.

A large rectangular dish with a wrought iron stand. When we get the kitchen done we will have a big island that will be great with all of these pieces when we have parties.

Well, this should of been my FIRST picture. When I came to work these boxes were everywhere. It was so much fun opening them. I will enjoy these pieces for years to come. I am VERY BLESSED!

My Baby is a TEENAGER!!

A while back my son asked me " Mom when you were growing up what did you want to be?" I told him a mom. He said" No I mean what did you want to BE?" I told him for as long as I could remember I wanted to be a mother. When my husband and I got married we wanted to start a family right away. What we thought would take us 9 months took us 8 1/2 years! There were many tears and infertility treatments. We also had a miscarriage and FINALLY.....
Our Little Miracle.
December 4, 1995

When this picture was taken it seemed like a life time before our baby would be shaving! At thirteen he is an early bloomer like his daddy. He will soon be shaving.

This was his Halloween costume when he was almost 2.

He had the lead in his school play and had to wear a tux. He played Abe Lincoln. He was in 4th grade.

Logan has brought such happiness to our lives. Just when we think we have our whole life planned we are reminded that God has better plans for us. Even though we wanted 3 children but only had one, the joy we have been given is priceless.

This past summer Logan came in 2nd place at the Home Run Derby.

His baseball team placed 1st this year. This is his team congratulating him on one of his out of the park homeruns. He's the one with the RED shoes!

Happy 13th Birthday Logan!!
You're a gift to us everyday.
Love,
Mom and Dad

Just a little story.

Last night when I was at Fran's working on our business I did the random drawing and told her the number was 15 and that BO had won. We got talking and she asked me if I read how Bo got her name and I said no so she told me. I went to Bo's site today to read about it and it is a funny story and that got me thinking. Fran and I have a story of how we got our names. As many of you know we are named after our grandmothers. My mom's mom was Fran and my dad's was Fern. Now I don't remember how old I was when I was told this story but...when we were born I came out white and a little peaked ( I have always been anemic) and Fran was nice and rosey. Well, my dad told my mom he wanted Fran to be called Fern (his mom's name).Mom was sure it was because she came out prettier (she probably still is). Mom didn't think that was right so she SWITCHED the names. I must say at first I was a little hurt when I heard the story but now I just make sure I take my vitamins so I can have nice rosey cheeks and then no one can tell us apart!! HA! Have a great day.

We Have A Winner

Bo won our Give A Way!!! We used the random number system on line ( sorry no time to write names and put them in a bowl). If you don't know who Bo is go visit her. She is just a sweetie and Twin and I just love her. Congrats!

We want to thank all of you for entering. We are having our Open House at Fran's this weekend so we will be sure to post a lot of pictures.

Lipstick Jungle

Twin and I happen to LOVE Lipstick Jungle. If you feel the same way go to nbc and send them an email so they don't cancel the show. I just hate it when I get into a show and then it's gone. Don't know if it will help but please, give it a try. Thanks.

Having a G-R-E-A-T give away!!

We set up our new booth yesterday....Oh, I'm sorry I'm gettin' ahead of myself. Here let the journey begin......

First of all Twin and I would like to THANK all of you for your words of encouragement. We think we have the best neighbors in blogland. We love all of you :o) This is the night of the Open House at our girlfriend's. We are loading up the car. What a beautiful day it was. Great day to start a business ;o) We did very well and everyone wants to come to our Open House at Fran's.

Better take two pictues just in case! If one twin doesn't like herself than ya have to hit the delete button!

Now all the rest of the pictures will be of our new Craft Booth. There's a town about 15 miles away and you can rent out a booth. The place is called Crafter's Village. We thought we would give it a try. The manager ordered something before we could even unpack the first box so we felt good about that.

They are having a special "Christmas Open House" today so we got in at the right time. The manager and owner told us they thought we would be very successful. They don't have anything like we are doing. The booth had nothing in it and we had to make our own selves. We go some wood at Menard's for 69 cents. Then we used contact paper. We would like to doll it up better but we didn't have a lot of time.

This is one of my favorite sayings. It has been a big hit. This one is on tile.

Isn't that umbrella so CUTE!! This one is a real bugger to make but worth it. This one is on canvas.

Love this one too. We thought we would put our stuff on tile and canvas to start out. We will be doing wall words too.

This one is really pretty when you get it in a large size and put it on the wall above your bed.

Just a sweet little pumpkin. We have ordered color vinyl and are just waiting for it to come in.

Oh, how true is this ladies? Lately we have been putting in LONG hours and all I want is a long bubble bath and of course my nightly glass of wine ;o)

And there you have it. We hope you enjoyed sharing a little part of our journey.

As for the give away. This is what is it.....We are givng away a wall word for your wall (not on canvas or tile) You may choose any color that we have and it can be any quote or something personalized.

We would love for you to let us know what quotes or favorite saying you enjoy so we can get some more ideas for our business.
We're doing coasters today and they are really fun. Putting Faith, Family, Friends and Future on them. Then some will be Dream, Imagine, Wish and Believe.
Good Luck to EVERYONE.
We will be working on a site to be able to purchase from us very soon. If you have something you want or any questions just email us. Thanks.
TWICE AS NICE LETTERING

Takin' Care of Business

We had a DREAM and we just needed to BELIEVE. We are starting a home based business and we want "Our Neighbors" to be the first to know.
The boxes have arrived and now we need to put this "Big Boy"or as we like to tell our kids it's "Mom's Money Maker" together. Okay, maybe we need our hubbies for this one. HELP!!

Now if they can put the stand together...the directions are in Chinese! Once we got this up and running, it was just our luck NO book came with the soft ware..........grrrrrrrr. It was extremely hard and it took days to figure it out but........we are happy to say we are up and running. We are SO PROUD. Now come and look at what we have been up to.

Our new business is called "Twice As Nice Lettering". What do you think? We are making vinyl wall words. We have always loved them and decided to make our own. We put these on tiles and canvas frames. We have an Open House tonight at our friend's house who honors women with home based businesses. We will let you know how it goes.
Let us know HONESTLY what you think. We will be having a give away and details will be posted soon.
Thanks so much for you patience. We're off to our first debut.

Hope this puts a smile on your face. :o)

Please join me in remembering a great icon of the entertainment
community. The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection
and trauma complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71.

Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities
turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry
Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies, and
Captain Crunch. The grave site was piled high with flours.

Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly described Doughboy as a
man who never knew how much he was kneaded. Doughboy rose quickly in
show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers. He was not
considered a very smart cookie, wasting much of his dough on half-baked
schemes. Despite being a little flaky at times, he still was a crusty
old man and was considered a positive roll model for millions.

Doughboy is survived by his wife Play Dough, three children: John
Dough, Jane Dough and Dosey Dough, plus they had one in the oven. He is
also survived by his elderly father, Pop Tart.

The funeral was held at 3:50 for about 20 minutes.

If this made you smile for even a brief second, please rise to the
occasion and take time to pass it on and share that smile with someone
else who may be having a crumby day and kneads a lift .
Twin and I laughed so hard we were crying.
We are VERY BUSY with our new business and will be posting some hints in a day or two so get ready neighbors.

BELIVE is our new motto

We have been up to absolutely no gosh darn good!!! LOL Actually twin and I are opening our very own home based business. Ya know how you want to do something but somehow never quite picture yourself as being successful at anything or you have a fear of failure? Well, I think blogging has given us a feeling of YES WE CAN...All of you are so talented. We even have a writer among us.( French writing her first blog novel Desperate Housewives of Blogville.) Now that is quite the undertaking. So we thought why not? Ya never know unless you try

Soon we will be giving hints and have a BIG give away so PLEASE don't leave us even if we aren't that good at posting. Actually it's my fault cause I don't know how to retrieve pictures on my computer so I have to have Fern or my daughter do that part for me. (And I think I can get a business up and running LOL!! Who am I trying to kid?)

Anyway, stay tuned neighbors, I hope we won't disappoint. HAPPY WEEKEND:o)

LAS VEGAS

Our Home Away from Home for 5 days and nights.......Let the fun begin...

Cher was a no show...how could she? We traveled thousands of miles. Oh well, we'll have to find something else to entertain ourselves.

These two put on a FANTASTIC show. Our seats were unbelievable!! Marie is so much thinner and prettier in person. And Donny...this guy knows how to wear a pair of jeans.

Getting ready for Donny, I forgot his favorite color is purple. Dang, I actually look like I have boobs in this top. It is now my favorite!LOL

For some reason if you click on this picture and enlarge it -it looks like I have raccoon eyes! I don't know why. My eyes also look brown but they're blue. So go ahead, click away...you know you want to!!

Fern getting up close and personal with Whoopie...her wax figure that is.

Our last night we went upstairs to see Rita. She was SO funny and she even kept it clean. After, we bought her book and she came out and autographed it. She is very pretty but to me she looked like she has had work done. It's hard to explain but her face looked tight.

We had more pics but didn't want to bore you with a bunch of sight seeing pictures. We had a fabulous time. For those of you that are wondering if we won any money...no. Until the last night that is. We won some back, not all, but we didn't lose considering we didn't have to pay for our suite, meals, limos, air fair, the shows and we also had manicures, pedicures, and facials!

Talk about heaven!! Fern's boss is the BEST and I am so thankful I am her twin. They love
me too !!!

A mom has bragging rights

This is my (Fran) daughter's fresh/soph tennis team. Lexi is front row third from left.

Lovely girl isn't she? First report card this year was a 4.0!! We are so proud.

She and her best friend Bri defended their FIRST place doubles in the N.C.I.C. tennis tournament this past weekend. Congratulations girls and great job!!! Two years in a row. Just wait until next year we'll have a three-peat.

We would like to say a big THANK YOU to Debbie for doing our blog back ground. We are so pleased. It was so sweet of her.

Vegas Was Suite-ness

Come on in neighbors.

Our first night in Vegas. We thought we would try taking our picture in the mirror. Some one started it on their blog but we're not sure who.

My camera was acting up the whole vacations so we don't have as many pictures as we would like but there will be more to come. This mirror was HUGE and BEAUTIFUL.

This is entering our new "HOME" for the week. So clean and neat...just the way we like it.

Good there's a place to store Fern's wine!! Need that night cap! Our own mini bar.

Now off to see what the bedroom looks like. Think they will leave us some bed mints? Oh, I just remembered Fern is on a diet...all the more for me lol.

Looks so inviting but we need to go down and play some slots....can sleep later ZZZZZ

Good we have a t.v. We both like to watch a little t.v. before bed.

Oh, goodie a place to sleep or read a good book.
Fern's boss bought us each a book called The Shack. She read it and she loved it. When we're done with it we are going to do a blog on it. Suppose to be life changing. Her sister-in-law told her about it and now she is buying it for everyone!!

Plenty of room to put on our make-up. No sharing going on here.

Our spa tub. Just what ya need after walking the strip. No Buffie we didn't say WORKING the strip! :o)
We will be posting the best pictures of our trip this week. We had a WONDERFUL time.
